Visit the NEW Library!
After years of operating out of an inadequately small building, on December 2, 2015, the people of Goshen, NY voted on a large, new library.
Groundbreaking Ceremony was held on June 11, 2017 at Salesian Park – the site of the former Salesian School.
The new building is fully compliant with the Americans With Disabilities Act, features private study rooms, meeting rooms, an expansive Just For Kids section, a Teen room, a book store area for the Friends of the Library, reading niches, a welcoming lobby filled with natural light, a patio that patrons can use to relax outdoors.
In the spring of 2024, the library set up a pollinator garden filled with native plants with the help of Orange & Rockland. This creates a beautiful outdoor area for patrons to enjoy and learn about our local ecosystem as well as a place for local wildlife to thrive.
